oxides which form salts when reacted with acids as well as bases are called as amphoteric oxides..
ex:CuO,ZnO,Al2O3..etc

In chemistry , an amphoteric oxide is a molecule or ion that can react Both as an acid or a base . Many metals such as (Copper , Zinc , Tin , lead ) for these oxides or known as hydroxides .
EXAMPLES ARE :
1 ) Copper oxide ( CuO )
2 ) Aluminium Oxide ( Al2O3 )
3 ) Lead Oxide. ( PbO )
4 ) Zinc Oxide ( ZnO )........
