Answer:

Explanation:

1.

  • Acids are substances that have free H₂ ions when dissolved in H₂O.
  • Non-metallic oxides dissolve in H₂O to form acids.

E.g. Organic acids - Tannic acid , Citric acid

Inorganic acids - HCl , H₂CO₃.

2.    Strong acid

  • Strong acids are the strongest of all acids.
  • They range from 0-1 in the pH scale.

E.g. H₃PO₄ , Lactic

NOTE:  All organic acids are weak acids

        Weak acid

  • Weak acids are the weakest of all acids
  • They range from 2-6 in the pH scale.

E.g. HCl , H₂CO₃

3. (a). The number of H₂ atoms in an acid is known as its basicity.

(b). ⇒Acids are sour in taste.

⇒ They are corrosive in nature.

⇒ They react with bases ( neutralization ) to form salts.

⇒ They turn litmus paper red.

4. Sorry ! I haven't learnt this yet so don't know the answer.

Hope you are happy with the answer !
