the angle formed by the incident ray and emergent Ray

ummeara: the angle equal to the difference between the angle of incidence and the angle of refraction of a ray of light passing through the surface between one medium and another of different refractive index.

when a ray of light is passed through a glass prism then the amount of deviation in the incident ray to the reflected ray is called angle of deviation

it is found by extending the incident ray forward and the reflected ray backwards, then the angle formed between the two extended rays is angle of deviation
