Define Apartheid ? How was it practiced in South Africa ? How did it come to an end ?

Apartheid was the name of system of racial discrimination unique to south africa. The white Europeans imposed this system on south africa.
1.The system of apartheid divided people on the basis of skin color.
2.The white rulers treated all blacks as inferiors.
3.They were forbidden from living in white areas.
It came to an end -:
1. The ANC led the struggle against the policies of segregation.
2.Many sensitive whites also joined ANC to oppose apartheid.
3.As struggles against apartheid has increased,the govt. realised that they could no longer keep blacks unde their rule throigh repression.
4.So, the white regime changed its policies.. and it came to an end...
