Hey friend,
Here is your answer:
Asexual reproduction is the process in which an organism reproduces on its own without the help of another individual that is there is only a single parent. In animals there are rare cases of asexual reproduction.
Some methods of asexual reproduction are:
• Binary fission
• Budding
• Binary fission is the process in which an organism reproduces by dividing into two cells from a single cell. This takes place in Paramecium and Amoeba.
• Budding is the process in which an organism reproduces by sending small outgrowths from the cell called buds. These buds grows and eventually separates from the parent cell and form a new individual. This occurs in Hydra.
Hope it helps u.

When a single parent produces offsprings, it is known as asexual reproduction. It is the simplest form of reproduction, which occurs without involving the sex organs, For example, a bacterial cell divides into two daughter cells asexually. Asexual reproduction is also seen in plants such as rose, potato, money plant, etc. Amoeba also reproduce asexually and produces two daughter cells. Some of the common methods of asexual reproduction in animals are:
- Budding: In this process, a small bulb- like projection called a bud is formed on the parent body. On maturation, this bud gets detached from the parent body to grow up into a new individual. For example, hydra and yeast reproduce by budding.
- Gemmules (internal buds): The parent releases a specialised mass of cell that can develop into an offsprings. Sponges exhibit this type of reproduction.
- Fragmentation: The body of the parents breaks into distinct pieces, each of which can produce an offspring. For example, planaria reproduce by fragmentation.
- Regeneration: If apiece from the body of a parent is detached, it can grow to develop into a completely new individual. For example, starfish shows regeneration. In certain animals body parts can be regenerated.
- Binary Fission: This is the simplest form of asexual reproduction. It is seen in single-celled organisms like bacteria and amoeba. In this type of reproduction, a fully mature cell splits into two. It begins with the division of the nucleus which is followed by the division of the cell. Since two individuals are formed, it is called binary fission. The two individuals produced by binary fission are called daughter cells. Binary fission is seen in amoeba.
