The atomic mass is the mass of an atom. Consider that the term "mass", in physics, is what in every-day life is called "weight" (for example, the average mass of a person in the US is 88 kg).
The atomic mass is usually expressed in atomic mass units (AMU) of dalton, defined as on/twelfth of the mass of an atom of carbon-12,

hope it will help you my friend

ATOMIC MASS - It is the mass of nucleus of an atom which is equal to the total mass of neutrons + protons.

It is denoted by letter Z

we use atomic mass unit to denote atomic mass mof an atom of an element.

For example

O2----- 6 neutrons , 6 protons (

Therefore atomic mass = 12 a.m.u or 12 ( relative atomic mass)

N2 -----7 neutrons , 7 protons

Therefore atomic mass = 14 a.m.u or 14

K ----------19 protons and 20 neutons

Therefore atomic mass = 39 a.m.u or 39
