BHABAR:- A narrow belt of pebbles about 8 to 16 km in width on foot of shiwalik mountains is known as bhabar.
TARAI ZONE:- It's a zone next to the bhabar which wet & marsy. It has thick forest cover & a variety of wild life.
KHADAR:- The younger alluvium of the faulted plains are known as the khadar.
