boiling point of liquid is defined as when vapor pressure of liquid becomes equal to external pressure surrounding the liquid and it depends on atmospheric pressure and food is cooked quickly in cooker pressure because the trapped steam increases the atmospheric pressure in cooker by 15 pounds per square and at that pressure temperature is increased and this is because of increased temperature that food is cooked quickly
