water chlorination is process of addition of chlorine or hypochlorite to water this method use to kill certain bacteria and microbes in tap water

The process of adding chlorine or chlorine tablets to water is called chlorination.It kills all the germs present in water.It a part of waste water treatment plant(WWTP)
