A combination reaction is a reaction in which to or more reactants are combine to form a single product.

For example :

C + O2 → CO2

Carbon completely burnt in oxygen yields carbon dioxide.

Ba + F2 → BaF2

Barium metal and fluorine gas will combine in a highly exothermic reaction to form the salt barium fluoride.

MgO + CO2 → MgCO3

Magnesium oxide combining with carbon dioxide to produce magnesium carbonate.
