Consumer health informatics (CHI) is a sub-branch of health informatics that helps bridge the gap between patients and health resources. Consumer:- All the heterotrophs of the ecosystem are known as consumers. They directiy that is herbivores and also indirectiy that is Carivores are depend on the producers for the purpose office food.

Types of consumers:-

1. Macro consumers:- It is also known as Phagotrophs or holozoic. They digest their food inside the body i.e. first ingestion then digestion.

2. Micro Consumers:- They are also known as Decomposers or Saprotrophs. And is Also known as osmotrophs. Organisms which decompose the dead body of producers and consumers called as decomposers and are also known as reducers.
