Answer:

Explanation:

Convection is the mode of transfer of heat as like in a container with water..

When u heat the container, the water at the bottom will get heated, as ater gains energy its volume increases as it expands and hence density decreases, so the bottom heated water comes up and the cooler water on the surface sinks, as it's density is greater than that of heated water...

In this way heat transfers via convection

So basically convection is the mode of heat transfer.......

Answer:

Convection refers to the process of transfer of heat or energy through a fluid (gas or liquid) from high temperature to low temperature

Explanation:

there are many ways in heat is moved from one place to other . When a fluid, such as air or a liquid, is heated and then travels away from the source, it carries the thermal energy along. this is usually called convection  I can give you several examples

  • in the day, when the sun is up, the land heats up very quickly and the air above it warms up a lot more than the air over the water. The warm air over the land is less dense and begins to rise. Low pressure is created       so  remember that when air becomes less dense it rises . not only air Once this air rises, it is replaced by the cool air from the sea , which is commonly referred to as “sea Breeze.”
  • The process of cooling air in air-conditioners employs the very principle of convection. The air which is cold is released by the air-conditioners. Now, this cold air is denser than the warm air, and, hence, it sinks. The warm air, being less dense, rises and is drawn in by the air-conditioner. As a result, a convection current is set up and the room is cooled.
  • if you  carefully drop a few crystals of potassium permanganate into it so that they fall close to one side of the beaker. Now heat the base of the beaker just under where the crystals have fallen.  You should see the color rise up this side, go across the top and then fall down the other side of the beaker — this is a convection current.
