The important types of crops are :-

• ${\underline{\sf{\orange{Cereal\:Crops-}}}}$ Wheat, rice, maize, mullets and sorghum provide carbohydrates for energy requirement.

• ${\underline{\sf{\orange{Pulses-}}}}$ Gram, pea, black gram, green Gram, pigeon peas, lentil which provides protein.

• ${\underline{\sf{\orange{Oilseeds\:crops-}}}}$ Groundnut, soya bean, sesame, castor, mustard, linseed and sunflower which provide fats.

• ${\underline{\sf{\orange{Vegetable,\:Spices\:And\:Fuirts-}}}}$ They provide us the range of vitamins and minerals along with the small quantities of proteins carbohydrates and fats.

• ${\underline{\sf{\orange{Food\:Crops\:Fodder\:Crops-}}}}$ Berseem, Oats or sudden grasses are raised for food for the livestock.
