The Aqueous ground substance of cytoplasm is called cytosol all that contains a variety of cell organelles and other in soluble waste products and storage products like starch, glucose, liquid and lipid etc.

Functions :-

• protoplasm acts as a store of vital chemicals like amino acid, proteins, sugar, vitamin etc.
• It is the site of certain metabolic reaction like glycolysis, synthesis of fatty acids, nucleotides etc
