Sundarban delta which lie in West Bengal, it is the largest delta of the world. it is famous for royal Bengal tiger. A tree called mangrove tree which is also called Sundari tree is found here and so it get its name Sundarban on the name of this tree. it grows in the marshes of Sundarban.

when the river enter into its old age then it fall into the sea ,before falling the sea it lies its sediments over there and formed the triangular shape structure which is called delta. it split into several channels.
