A tendon or sinew is a tough band of fibrous connective tissue that usually connects muscle to bone and is capable of withstanding tension. 
A ligament is the fibrous connective tissue that connects bones to other bones. 
Cellular differentiation is the process where a cell changes from one cell type to another. 
The study of the microscopic structure of tissues is called histology.
A chromosome is a deoxyribonucleic acid molecule with part or all of the genetic material of an organism.
