Define difference between pollination and fertilization

I think they are synonymous. The way I use them, fertilization tends to be the act of adding additional nutrients to the growing medium.

I could maybe see a distinction to be made as pollination could be considered the act of bringing the pollen into the flower, whereas fertilization is the act of the pollen fusing with the ovum to start seed generation. But this seems fairly technical and I don’t have the need for such a fine distinction.

Fertilization is the continuation of pollination in flowering plants.

Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of one flower to the stigma of the same flower in self pollinating plant or the stigma of another flower in cross pollinating plant.

Pollination refers to transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma of same flower or different flower.
Fertilisation refers to fusion of pollen grains with ovum resulting in seed formation.
