There are 5 types of adverbs:-
Adverbs of Time
Adverbs of Place
Adverbs of Degree
Adverbs of Manner
Adverbs of Frequency
As we know adverbs give an additional description for a verb i.e an action or a work.
For Example- Niti runs fast.
In the above example ‘Running’ is a work/action/verb. But the word after it tells us the additional information about how that work is done i.e. ‘Fast’ is an Adverb.
Adverbs of Time
It provides information about when the action happened exactly. It is placed at the beginning or end of the sentence.
For Example- Sometimes, never, recently, so far, soon, always.
2. Adverbs of Place
It gives information about the place where the activity happened. It is placed after the main verb or object or at the end of the sentence.
For Example- here, there, everywhere, out, in, above, below.
3. Adverbs of Degree
It explains the level of intensity of the verb, adjective, adverb.
For Example- Almost, enough, just, so.
4. Adverbs of Manner
It provides information about how is work done. Most of them will end with -ly.
For Example- Politely, neatly, lazily, quickly, slowly.
5. Adverbs of Frequency
It will provide information about how often the verb occurs. They’re often placed directly before the main verb of a sentence.
For Example- rarely, usually, never.
