( 1) density = mass / volume
= M / L^3 = M L ^-3
S.I unit - kg m^-3 , or
C.G.S unit - g m ^-3
(2) force = mass × acceleration
= M × L T^-2 = M L T^-2
S.I unit -Newton or Kg m s^-2
C.G.S unit - dyne or g m s^-2
(3) work = force × length.
= M L T^-2 × L = M L^2 T^-2
S.I unit = Joule or Kg m^2 s^-2
C .G .S unit - erg or g m^2 s^-2
( 4) pressure= force / area
= M L T^-2 / L^2 = M L^-1 T^-2
S.I unit - Pascal or kg m^-1 s^-2
(5) velocity - distance / time
= L / T
= L T ^-1
unit - m s^-1
