Electric Field :-  In a simple word, Electric field can be defined as electric force per unit charge.
At a point charge , The field direction is in the direction of force too. Electric field is partially outwards from  the +ve charge and across to the -ve point charge.

The unit of the Electric Field is N/C. [Force per unit charge].

Electric field at a point is given by the Expression,
E = kQ/r²
where, Q is the Charge of the source, k is the coulomb constant, r is the distance.

Proof ⇒

Electric field intensity is the per unit charge,
E = F/q
where, F is the Force and q is the unit charge.
E = kQq/r²q

E = kQ/ r²

Hope it helps. :-)
