Electro-magnetic Induction
When the magnetic field associated with a closed coil changes, an electric current is induced in the coil. The production of electric current in a coil by changing the strength of the magnetic field associated with it is called electromagnetic induction. This was discovered by the British scientist Michael Faraday.
