There are two types of emulsion:

1). Oil dispersion in water.

2). Water dispersion in oil.

Emulsifying agent : The third component used for stablising an emulsion.

Emulsification : Process of making an emulsion.

Example : Oil and water mixtures are emulsions when shaken together. The oil will form drops and disperse throughout the water.
