➡Evolution is change in the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations. These characteristics are the expressions of genes that are passed on from parent to offspring during reproduction.

How did Evolution occur?

Approximately, around 7 crore years back, human evolution began. The sequential changes in the groups of living organisms that occur or take place gradually is Evolution. Evolution can also be described as the formation of new species due to natural selection.

Process of Evolution takes millions of years for development and speciation of different organisms.

According to the theory of Evolution, the first living Material was in the form of protoplasm which was formed in ocean. All evolutionary changes were very slow and gradual taking about 300 crores of years to happen.

Thus, This overall process of evolution is called organizational and progressive.

It's said that hereditary changes, too are responsible for evolution.

As evolution is an everlasting process of changes, several proofs to support this process. This are called Evidences of Evolution. Evidences of Evolution are of following types :

Morphological evidences

Anatomical evidences, Vestigial organs, Connecting links, Paleontological evidences and embryological evidences.

Thus, Like this, Evolution occured.
