Force is a physical tendency which when act on the body size ,shape, position, will be change. Example :- A spring expands on application of force. or a spherical rubber ball becomes oblong as we apply force on it.

Force is a push or pull which an object experiences when it interact with another object

No, it is not necessary for the two bodies to be in direct contact for a force to exist between them

For example, Magnetic force, Electric force and gravitational force always act at distance
