 \large{\bold{Forest}}

✔The forest is a group of vegetation in a huge piece of land or area. This is a separate ecosystem of flora (plants) and fauna (animals).

✔Forests provide shelter to various organisms.

✔All the types of fauna are directly dependent on the plants whether they are herbivores or carnivores. Herbivore animals eat plants and after that the herbivores are the food of carnivores.

 \large{\bold{Soil \: erosion}}

✔Soil erosion is the removal of the top layer or fertile layer of the soil. The top layer is called fertile because it has humus present on it.

✔This is a natural process which is caused due to various natural calamities like floods, Tsunamis etc.

✔There are two modes of soil erosion:- Wind erosion and Water erosion. In wind erosion, soil is removed with the help of wind and in water erosion, it is eroded because of the flowing of water on the land.
