The kidneys filter unwanted substances from the blood and produce urine to excrete them. There are three main steps of urine formation: glomerular filtration, reabsorption, and secretion. These processes ensure that only waste and excess water are removed from the body.

Excretory system :-

Our excretory system consist of kidney , ureters, urinary bladder , urethra,Reneal pelvis,

filtering units called nephrons, cortex , medulla ,bowmans capsule.

1)Our excretory system is located in the abdominal area just below rib cage.

2)It consist of two pea shaped organs called.

kidney , each kidney is separated by spine. At top of each kidney we have adrenal gland.

we need at least one kidney to survive.

3)If we take cross - section of kidney we see a dark red coloured portion called medulla and light red coloured portion called cortex.

4)Our kidney consist of large no. of filtering units called nephrons. Each nephrons consist of cup shaped upper end called bowmans capsule.

5)Each bowmans capsule consist of large no. of capillaries called glomerulus.

6)Reneal artery bring unwanted waste and blood to kidney.

7)unwanted waste such as water and nitrigeneous waste get diffused in bowmans capsule.

8)This waste then move through long tube like structure where selective materials such as water amino acids gets reabsorbed.

9)The waste then moves further and mixes with water and form urine. This urine consist of nitrigeneous waste such as urea and uric acid.

10)This urine then moves through Reneal pelvis then to long tube like structure called ureters.

11)These ureters take this urine and stores in urinary bladder.

12)When urinary bladder gets full it then excrets this urine out of body through urethra.
