friction is a force opposing the direction of motion and is affected by surface and the shape of the object.for example the friction is least when the surface of the object is regular (plane) where as it is more when object is having irregular surface.

hey mate
here is ur answer

define friction ??
the resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another.is called friction
What are the factors affecting friction??
Friction depends partly on the smoothness of the contacting surfaces, a greater force being needed to move two surfaces past one another if they are rough than if they are smooth
example ???
Rubbing both hands together to create heat. A sled sliding across snow or ice. Skis sliding against snow. A person sliding down a slide is an example of sliding friction.
hope it helps u and pls mark it as the brainliest
