Generally this occurs when the temperature of a liquid is lowered below a freezing point sublimation is a chemical process where a solid turn inti a gas without goinv through a liquid gas. An example of sublimation is when ice cubes shrink in the freezer vaporisation or (vapourisation) of an element or compound is a phase transition from the liquid phase to vapor. There are two types of vaporization :evaporation or boiling. Evaporation is a surface phenomenon , whereas boiling is a bulk phenomenon
