Suppose an individual is born with a hereditary disease, it can be a corrective therapy taken for such a disease known as Gene therapy. Gene therapy is a collection of techniques that allows correction of a gene defect that has been diagnosed in a child or embryo. The genes are inserted into an individual’s cells and tissues to treat the disease. The first clinical gene therapy was given to a four years old girl in 1990 with ADA (adenosine deaminase) deficiency.
