see if an object is in gravitational feild then it will posses gravitational potential energy.
also we can say that it is work doneagainst gravity to bring an object from infinity to that point in gravitational feild .
elastic potential energy :
it is the energy stored in a spring or any elastic object.
it is equal to workdone to stretch a spring to certain distance. or we can say that it is energy which is req. to stretch a spring between two points.
