Angiosperms, also called flowering plants, have seeds that are enclosed within an ovary (usually a fruit), whilegymnosperms have no flowers or fruits, and have unenclosed or “naked” seeds on the surface of scales or leaves. Gymnosperm seeds are often configured as cones.
