Homogeneous​mixture:-
A homogeneous mixture is a mixture where the components that make up the mixture are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture.
For example:- Air, Sugar Water

Heterogeneous mixture:-
A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture where the components of the mixture are not uniform or have localised regions with different properties.
For example:- Blood, Soil.

Heterogeneous mixture -

  • The mixture which does not have the same composition throughout.
  • The components are distributed uniformly.
  • The components can be distinguished from each other.
  • Examples - Sand in water, iron nails in the sand, pebbles in rice.

Homogeneous mixture -

  • The mixture that has the same composition throughout.
  • The components are distributed uniformly.
  • The components can be distinguished from each other.
  • Examples - Salt in water, sugar in water.
