Answer:

Blood transfusion in simple words is a process by which whole blood or parts of blood are inserted into a patient's bloodstream through a vein. It's the requirement when there is an excessive blood loss or loss of blood components. The carelessness adopted (like collecting the blood without going to screening tests) during blood transfusion may lead to several disease like AIDS, HepatitisB etc. There are many other diseases like malaria, syphilis, and brucellosis which are caused by blood-borne pathogens. So, It's necessary to test each blood before it's stored for the future use. It's also the duty of the donor to be serious about this problem and the person's suffering from diseases like AIDS, Hepatitis B must not donate the blood.
