mixture

  • elements or compound just mix together form a mixture no new compound is formed
  • a mixture has a variable composition
  • a mixture shows the properties of constitutes substances
  • the constituent can be separated fairly by physical methods

compound

  • element reacts to form New compounds
  • composition of each new substance is always fixed
  • the new substances has totally different properties
  • the constituent can be separated only by chemical methods
