These are substances which change colour with pH. These are usually weak acids and weak bases. eg of Acid base Indicator is Phenolphthalein, Phenolphthalein turns colourless in acidic solutions and shows a pink colour in basic solutions. Methyl orange is another example of Acid base indicators.
