Ionization energy is the amout of energy required to pull an electron.

sahilsharma2000: i think ionisation energy is the minimum amount of energy required to remove an electron for the ground state of an atom and the value of hydrogen atom is +13.6ev

Ionization energy is the quantity of energythat an isolated, gaseous atom in the ground electronic state must absorb to discharge an electron, resulting in a cation. This energy is usually expressed in kJ/mol, or the amount ofenergy it takes for all the atoms in a mole to lose one electron each... for a hydrogen atom
