1. A muscular diaphragm present between aqueous humour and the lens is called iris.

2. It is the colored part we see in an eye.

3. Iris helps in controlling the size of the pupil. Hence it controls amount of light

entering the eye through pupil.

4. Iris enables pupil to act as a “variable aperture “ for entry of light.

5. In low light conditions it makes the pupil to expand and bright light conditions it

makes the pupil to contract.
