HYPOTONIC SOLUTION..

The medium surrounding the cell wall has higher concentration of water...so the water outside goes inside the cell..

From a region of higher to lower concentration..

ISOTONIC SOLUTION

If the amount of water is the same inside and outside the cell...There is no change in the water level...

HYPERTONIC SOLUTION

The cell has more amount of water...So the water inside the cell moves outside..From a region of higher to lower concentration..
