Hello Dear !
_______________________________________________________
In the latent heat of fusion when water is converting into ice form to liquid form it doesn't melt completely on definite temperature it start early and then the temperature is  constant then .Just as latent heat is taken in when water changes to vapor at the same temperature, so the same thing occurs when ice melts to form water. But in this case the latent heat is not so great. It requires only 336000 j to convert 1 kg of ice at 0 °C to water at the same temperature

Latent Heat of Fusion

Latent heat of fusion is also known as Enthalpy of fusion of a substance.

Latent heat of fusion is defined as the change in the enthalpy due to the providing energy or heat to a specific quantity of substance. This is because to change the state from solid to liquid at a constant pressure. Hurricanes intensify during the process of Latent heat.

For example, Water

Water is having a high latent heat of fusion. Therefore changing water into ice requires removal of more energy then freezing liquid oxygen into solid oxygen per unit gram.
