when no any external force act on a body then total linear momentum is conserved in a body.
for ex explosion of bomb

Here is your answer...

◆Law of Conservation of Linear Momentum:-
According to this law,the total linear Momentum of a objects is Always conserved unless an external force is applied in it.

For example:-

=>Let's say two bodies of mass m1 and m2 moving in straight line in the same direction with initial velocity u1 and u2. They collide for a short time . After collision, they move with velocities v1 and v2.

This means the total momentum before collision is equal to total momentum after collision. This proves the principle of conservation of linear momentum.
