Law of conservation of mass means that atom neither be created nor be destroyed but it can be converted into one form to another. For example if we heat calcium carbonate then carbon dioxide and calcium oxide are formed mass of calcium carbonate is 10.0g and mass of carbon dioxide is 4.4 g and mass of calcium oxide is 5.6g . If we total the mass of CO2 and CaO then we find that mass of reactants is equal to the mass of the products
