Longitudinal waves are waves in which the displacement of the medium is in the same direction as, or the opposite direction to, the direction of propagation of the wave.

A transverse wave is a moving wave that consists of oscillations that are perpendicular (right angled) to the direction of propagation of the wave.

Hello Mate,

Transverse waves are always characterized by particle motion being perpendicular to wave motion.

Longitudinal wave is a wave in which particles of the medium move in a direction.

Hope this helps you ✌️✨☺️
