The terms mean, median and mode are used to describe the central tendency of a large data set.

Mean is the AVERAGE of all numbers . It is also called arithmetic mean.

Formula : sum of all observation ÷ no. of observation

Median is the middle most number of all the observations.

Formula : arrange the numbers in ascending order

               Then when no.of observations is odd, we use

                            (n+1) ÷2th term is the median    {n= no.of observations}

               When n= even

                     The average of (n/2)th term and (n+2)/2 th term is the Median
