blood clotting is caused by platelets present in blood first platelets release thrombokinase which act as an enzyme and convert substance named prothrombin into thrombin.thrombin then react with fibrinogen and convert it into fibrin . it is solid substance that form threads it form a clot. please follow me and mark my answer
