Meristematic tissue is also known as dividing tissue because it keeps on dividing further and further. It is of three types apical , intercalary and lateral meristem .

The tissue which divides and produces new cells through cell division are called meristematic tissue.
Meristematic tissues are of three types that is apical meristem,lateral meristem and inter calary meristem.
