Answer:Mixtures consist of two or more substances simply mixed together,but not chemically combined.

The types of mixtures are as follow:-

*Granite is a mixture of minerals

*Milk is a mixture of water,butter,minerals,Vitamins,etc

*Petroleum is a mixture of petrol,diesel,kerosene,etc

Mixtures In Chemistry:-

⦁ The substance which contain more thaan two atoms together is commonly known as Mixtures.

Mixtures are classified into two types:-

1) Homogenous,

2) Heterogeneous.

⦁ Mixtures can be of any matter also these can be mixed together, Matter in chemistry are as follows.

1. Solid,
2. Liquid,
3. Gaseous.

Homogenous mixture:-

⦁ In this type the components of mixtures are uniformly distributed.

Heterogeneous mixture:-

⦁ In this type the components of mixtures are non-uniformly distributed.

Point to remember:-

⦁ If some components are dissolved in water then we can find that this is homogenous or heterogeneous mixture.

Example:-

1. Homogenous mixture: Sodium chloride.
2. Heterogeneous mixture: Sugar.
