The act of changing place or position by the entire body or by one or more of its parts is called movement. Movement is one of the characteristic features of living organisms. Study of movements is called kinesiology.

There are different types of biological activities which are performed by almost every living organism.
And among those activities, movement is one of the most important.
Due to this biological movements, living organisms are able to change their physical location,in order to interact with the surrounding's environment.
Different organs and body parts work together for accomplishing the biological movements.
For example:
1)Legs, muscles etc for the land living species.
2)Wings, muscles for the air living species
3)Fins,muscles for the water living species.
4) Temporary biological extensions for the microscopic organisms.
