Myopia (Short-sightedness)

It is a eye defect in which the eyeball is elongated from front to back and the lens become too curved or more convex. This create problem in the distant vision which is blurred and the near vision is clear . The can be corrected by concave or diverging lens.

Hyperopia or Hypermetropia( Long-sightedness)

It is an eye defect is which the eyeball is shortened from back to front and the elns becomes thin or less convex. This create problem in the near vision which is blurred and the distant vision is cleared. This can be corrected by using convex lens or converging lens.

Astigmatism

It is an eye defect in which some parts of the object are seen in focus while others are blurred. It arises due to uneven curvature of the cornea. This is corrected by cylindrical lenses.

Answer:

Hypermetropia is the opposite defect to myopia. The eye is shorter than usual and images of distant objects are therefore focused behind the retina. Astigmatism. Astigmatisms are defects that depend on the curvature (sphericity) of the refractive surfaces, especially the cornea.
