A scenic or historically important area of countryside protected by the federal government for the enjoyment of the general public or the preservation of wildlife is a national park.

A National Park or simply N.P. is an area which is meant for the conservation of wildlife. It is under the protection of the state. General public can go and have a visit of it for enjoyment. But wildlife's safety along with public's amuse is the main agenda behind states having N.P.'s.
