An odd integer is not a multiple of two. If it is divided by two the result is a fraction. One is the first odd positive number. The next four bigger odd numbers are three, five, seven and nine.

An even integer is an integer that is divisible by two, that is n∈z is even if and only if 2|N2. The set of even integers is written 2Z.
